Rishikesh. Taking a commendable step towards environmental protection, television actress Shanaya Sharma joined hands with the renowned spiritual leader Mahamandaleshwar Avdhut Baba Arun Giri, popularly known as ‘Environment Baba’, for a tree plantation drive at his ashram in Prayagraj. The event saw the active participation of saints, devotees, and nature enthusiasts, who collectively spread the message of conserving nature.

During the plantation, Shanaya personally planted saplings alongside Baba and appealed to the public to plant at least one tree in their lifetime and take responsibility for its care. She emphasized that collective efforts are essential to combat serious issues like climate change and pollution.

I just want to say to these people that if you can't make the online world a better place, at least don't make it worse with such activities. I am not judging anyone here but every platform has a specific purpose or objective. I am sure Instagram is not for pornography-type content. We really need to filter this as it's not leaving a good taste or influence for the young teenage users of social media. I really hope quality filtering happens and social media becomes a place to motivate and inspire more rather than just a medium of obscene and cringe content."

I must mention that it is a landmark film in my filmography. The entire shoot had an amazing vibe and  we all felt that the film was going to work—and it did, becoming a massive blockbuster. Shahid and I knew each other from before but had never worked together. During the shooting of the film, we developed a great camaraderie, he’s a fantastic actor and a great guy. Working with Sandeep Reddy Vanga was also a wonderful experience; we became friends after the film. The film had amazing music, strong characters, and it feels great to be part of a story that people continue to watch and talk about even today.”

Actress Aditi Shetty is winning hearts as the fierce and fearless Tasneem in Rana Naidu Season 2, a role that has marked a transformative moment in her career. But her journey into the world of action, strength, and powerful screen presence didn’t begin with success—it started with rejection.

“I had auditioned for Rana Naidu Season 1 for the character Mandira, and didn’t get it. So when Season 2 came around, I just wanted to give it a shot without overthinking” Aditi recalls ” I was told this new character is one of the strongest female characters in the show — a young woman who stands up to Rana, has a proper face-off scene with him, and earns his respect by the end. This role intrigued me” 

Playing Tasneem wasn’t just about acting—it demanded a complete physical and mental transformation. “Tasneem is a stuntwoman, so my body had to look like that,” Aditi explains. “I’ve always been into fitness but I started strength training intently to build muscle. I also adjusted my diet to gain strength without losing too much weight” 

When she first met the directors, Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma, the vision for the character was immediately clear. “We discussed changes to my look for this character, since Tasneem is a small-town, rough, raw girl who works in a stunt studio full of men. The attire would be tank tops and loose trousers—not the usual girlie clothes. The character would be sporty and fit” 

Even her speech and demeanour were reworked. “They told me how to slow down my speech, be dominating and own my space — like a cat. Watch how a cat moves, its awareness, and how it takes its own space. That stayed with me” 

Aditi’s first shoot day was meant to be a small entry scene—but the anticipation was overwhelming. “I had just two lines, but I was nervous — the whole cast was there, and I wanted to prove I belonged. I sat in my vanity for 12 hours rehearsing the same two lines in the mirror repeatedly with focus. But that day, the scene didn’t happen due to delays. By the time I shot it the next day, all the nerves had calmed down — and I could deliver with confidence”

One of the biggest moments for Aditi was a confrontation scene with the show’s lead, Rana Daggubati. “Very early on, I had the big scene with Rana — in Episode 7 — where Tasneem questions him for being controlling. I was super nervous because… It’s Mr. Rana Daggubati. But Karan sir patiently rehearsed the scene with me. When we did the final take, I was calm and confident. Later, I got good feedback from Rana and Suparn sir. That appreciation made me happy. That same day, legendary filmmaker Rajamouli was on set. “I didn’t get to meet him, but I remember being on set manifesting — one day, I want to work with him” 

For Aditi, the stunt work was entirely new territory. “I had never done stunts before, but for my introduction scene, I had to do a backflip on a harness. I trained with Geeta Tandon, one of Bollywood’s top stuntwomen, who taught me everything. The entire team — from ADs to action directors — was so encouraging. The experience of doing my stunt work—kicks, flips, harnesses—was unforgettable” 

Veteran actors Venkatesh Sir and Abhishek often stepped in to guide her. ”They would kindly show me how to do the scenes better and I just followed them. Conversations with Sushant Singh were inspiring—I learnt so much from him. He’s a great human being” 

The camaraderie on set was equally memorable. “Everyone had each other’s backs. It was magical. We all used to hang out together. I was nervous at first, but everyone just welcomed me in. We were cracking jokes and spending time. The on-set time was always lively and warm. During the scenes, we would end up pranking each other and having a lot of fun. Everyone on set was a treat to be around — no egos, just good work” 

Aditi holds special admiration for the team behind Rana Naidu. ”Karan, Suparn, and Abhay were dream directors for my OTT debut and absolutely the best. They were extremely supportive and motivating. Now that the season is out, I am so grateful for their support and faith in me” 

Reflecting on the role, she shares, “Tasneem is so different from me. She’s a strong personality — unhinged. And honestly — this experience, these people, this role — it wasn’t just work. It was a blessing” 

As the love pours in from fans, Aditi is more motivated than ever. ”I’ve been getting a lot of love from the audience and I’m honestly grateful and happy for this. Waiting to work harder, deliver more such roles, and explore opportunities”

Tridha Choudhury, who gained immense popularity for her role as Babita in Bobby Deol’s web series Aashram, is set to portray Inspector Suman Negi in this film. As the Shimla and Manali police start their investigation, a taxi driver comes under suspicion. However, as the investigation progresses, they uncover something that even shocks the police.”

Produced under the banner of Saurya Studios, So Long Valley will be released nationwide by August Entertainment, with Cinépolis Cinemas India as the multiplex partner. The film is produced by Saurya Studios and Maan Singh, co-produced by Karan Singh Chauhan, with Mohsin Khan as creative producer. The music and lyrics are by L.K. Lakshmikant. Kolkata turned into a hub of cinematic excitement as Bollywood stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan arrived in the City of Joy to promote their much-anticipated film, ‘Metro…इन दिनों’, directed by Anurag Basu. Actor Touqeer Khan is back on screen after a break, and will be seen in a Bollywood film soon. The actor, who is actress Sumbul Touqeer’s father and has been seen in shows such as Crime Patrol, will he part of the film Mumbai Score, directed by Alok Shukla and produced by Shuktha production house. “This is my Bollywood debut. Before this, I had done Crime Patrol and a few serials, but this is my first proper film. When I came to Mumbai, I started working in acting through Crime Patrol just to survive because we didn’t have much money. Later, when Saniya and Sumbul began getting steady work, I quit acting to manage their schedules. Handling both of them, especially when their shoots were at different places or at the same time, took up all my time. Now that they’re both independent and told me, “Papa, now it’s your time to start again,” I decided to give acting another shot,” he says. 

 He adds, “The film is currently being shot in Nalasopara, where an entire slum area has been recreated for the shoot. I play the role of a local MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) who goes to people asking for votes. The film also touches upon the serious issue of drug addiction among youth in that area.” Meanwhile, he says that he feels proud when he sees Sumbul’s journey. “I feel extremely proud and emotional seeing Sumbul’s growth. She is not only a brilliant actor but also so loved by her fans. Watching her journey unfold so beautifully fills me with happiness. Not every parent gets to witness such success and recognition for their child, so I truly feel blessed,” he says. 

 However, ask him if he wants to share the screen with her, and he says, “Honestly, no. I would never want to play Sumbul’s father on screen. She’s such a powerful actress that I would feel completely overshadowed next to her. I genuinely believe she’s so talented that I wouldn’t be able to match her energy or presence on screen.” As for more work, he says, “I definitely want to take up more acting assignments. I feel my look suits negative characters, so I’m open to playing villains. I also enjoy comic roles, so ideally, I’d like to work in either the negative or comedy genre — both excite me equally.” In fact, he will be resuming choreography too. “I actually came to Mumbai as a choreographer and even won a dance reality show back in the day. 

Many of my students have performed on platforms like DID and India’s Dancing Superstar. So I feel it’s time to restart choreography along with acting. Now that my kids are managing themselves, I can finally focus on my own passions again and give them the time they deserve,” he says.

That’s why we prioritize feeding our cows good-quality food and taking care of them properly.We believe in the concept of karma—what you give is what you get. Since childhood, I’ve been taught how to look after cows and their calves. It’s not just about taking care of them but also the values you learn. According to Hindu tradition, cows are considered sacred and are often referred to as “Gau Mata.” Serving them feels like a blessing, and it brings a sense of fulfillment. Their blessings are precious, and taking care of them feels like an act of good karma.” Srikant’s calf’s name is Gauri - named by his father. He adds,”Whether it’s a calf, dog, cat, or any other pet, people choose them based on what they like. Personally, I love being around cows and calves. There’s a unique peace that comes from taking care of them and being kind to them.Since childhood, my father raised me with the values of caring for animals. I’ve always helped in preparing their food, giving them fodder, and providing for their needs. There’s a specific plant called berseem—tiny green plants—which we feed them so they grow strong and healthy. I used to cut it from the field myself and feed them.Taking care of cows, preparing their food, and simply being around them brings a special kind of peace. I completely agree that caring for animals adds a sense of calm and positivity to life.”

While actress Shivangi Verma has finally opened up on allegations put on her by veteran Govind Namdev. A picture of the two of them sparked dating rumours, and while the actress has always refuted these baseless rumours, a recent remark by Govind has left her shocked. “I was shocked when I read Govindji's reaction. A normal post was done with his consent and he accepted the collaboration request and deleted it on his own,” she says.

She adds, “I, as a professional actress, deserve dignity too just because he is a veteran character actor he can't accuse me. What will I get by gaining publicity out of such a matter.”

Clarifying her current situation, she says, “I am paired opposite a known star in an upcoming project and I am looking at young pairings. I have clarified twice in the past, once in December and once in May, and I want to clarify once and for all, that the dating rumours are baseless.
